Merry Christmas!

It was time for our annual dog Christmas Card. For the last four years we (really I) have participated in a holiday dog card swap. It is SO much fun. Our mailbox fills up with Christmas Cards of Boston Terriers. My entire family looks forward to it every year (except maybe the dogs). As usual, I should have planned early, but life gets so hectic sometimes. But in my typical fashion, I was able to get it done! Our first photo shoot was pretty much a failure. I didn't like any of the pictures (I wasn't happy about my background selection either) and trying to get 3 dogs in a pictures....prooved challenging. And when I did manage to get them all together they just didn't look happy and holiday-ish. So, I had to go with "take 2" photo shoot. Individual shots of each. I am still not 100% happy with them, but they were definitely cute enough to use.

So from Sophie, Bradley and the brown one Murray---Merry Christmas to ALL!

Look at this lovely black and white creature. Isn't she adorable? Just a little fur ball. Such innocent eyes. She got to spend a few days at our house while her real owner abandon her (ok, they only went on vacation and wouldn't stop calling me when they got back) She was so much fun. But reminded me that puppies are lot of work. I think for right now, 3 full time dogs is plenty (but don't tell anyone I said that ok?)

Dog Tails

Who would think that the same breed of dog could have such different looking tails? Well, of course we have admitted that Murray is no where near a standard looking Boston Terrier. Sophie (the black and white dog) has a little screw tail that usually stays close to her end but on occasion she will stick it out and it wags (along with her whole butt). Murray on the other hand....er...I mean end, has a nice round longer tail. It is pretty uniform all the way around. It was recently brought to my attention that some Boston Terriers's tails are docked. DOCKED? Yes, docked. The majority of Boston Terriers are born with these natural screw tails (and Sophie's is probably long compared to the average) Boston's are almost a tailess dog. And then there is Murray. After looking at his tail and thinking about it, I concur. I think it was cut off when he was a puppy....living in puppy hell. I still think he is cute as a button.

Bradley

I think Bradley wants to be a lap dog. He seems to get a little jealous when I pick up one of the punks and love on them. But he is just too darn big for any lap. But he does love to be hugged and will bury his head into you in an effort to hug you back. He really is a sweet boy.

While I am at work....

the mice will play (or the dogs will nap). I discovered these pictures that I didn't take on my camera. And quickly figured out that this is what goes on while I am at work. My dogs lay around on the furniture and my kids help themselves to my camera and the photoshoot begins. Mind you,I had no idea this photshoot had taken place, until I went to upload pictures from another event and discovered about 75 pictures of the dogs napping. I guess the dogs were willing subjects, as long as it didn't interfere with their nap.

Welcome Summer!

Summer time is here!! (Ok officially Summer doesn't start for a couple of weeks, but school is out and the pool is open). We spent some time outside the last couple of weekends. Lots of outdoor chores to be done. I think the dogs enjoy having company out there. On the weekend when we spend most of the day outside, they sure do sleep well. So just a couple of random shots of the dogs enjoying the summer weather.

Long time no post!

As usual life has been crazy. Lots to do and so little time to do it. We are really enjoying and sometimes very challenged by our new addition. But we couldn't have chosen a better personality fit for our existing pack.

It has been crazy enough that I haven't even taken alot of new pics of the dogs, so I will share with you one of my favorites of Sophie...I was baiting her with cheese, but look at those eyes. How can you resist her powers?
