I was going to order this really cool leash and coupler set called a Wacky Walkr. But, a really nice person in another state offered to send me hers that she couldn't return. Well, it is really awesome.
It is the first time my dogs have walked on a coupler, so we are still working out the kinks (literally) with it. We have walked twice this week- for 45 minutes each. I wore the dogs out both times. Yesterday I was concerned because Sophie kept looking up at me with her big sweet bug eyes, with the most pitiful look. I was getting visions of me carrying her the rest of the way home. Well, fortunately, she is a tough puppy and made it the whole trip.
As soon as we get back to our yard, it is like Sophie dives onto the grass and insists on laying her belly on the grass and then rolling. Bradley and I stand there and patiently wait for her to get through her grass greeting ritual and then we can go inside and get a drink.
After our first walk on Sunday morning I was concerned I had killed the dogs. After they quit panting so hard- they took almost a 4 hour nap!!
I can't wait to get out and walk some more- great excerise for the three of us. I am sure we are also good neighborhood entertainment. The 85 lb curly dog attached to the 20 lb bug eyed dog pulling the fat lady down the street. I should charge admission!!
